Preparation

Steep for 10–15 minutes in hot water (about 185–195°F). Steep gently, avoid overconcentration. Typically prepared fresh from watermelon rind (white inner layer, green peel removed). Not commonly sold dried. Can be resteeped 2–3 times.

We're deep into Summer now — long days, strong sun, and your body's energy is fully expanded outward. This is when it's easiest to lose fluids and overtax your system without realizing it.

Today's weather isn't pushing any extremes, so we're staying with the seasonal foundation — what supports your body's natural rhythm for this time of year.

Today's tea follows the seasonal base — green tea (lǜ chá) with watermelon rind (xī guā cuì yī) and lophatherum (dàn zhú yè). No extreme weather conditions are shifting the formula today, so we're staying with what supports your body's natural rhythm for this time of year.
